= New Star Wars lowers prices 75% to unlock heroes. Old PS2 prices still toohigh. =

Catch a Fn clue! Look at new games who are A) listening to playerbase backlash B) LOWERING PRICES. C) INCREASING XP

COD WW2 is giving so much goodies away in supply drops. That players are grinding even harder thinking at some point supply drops will be nerfed. Lol. It won't. Those supply drops goodies giveaway is just meant to get the players invested and hooked into their characters. Something PS2 with its stagnant prices and stagnant XP doesn't seem to Fn get

Star Wars reduced the price of Darth Vader by 75% along with all their heroes. After epic player backlash on reddit

So here I am already spent hundreds on PS2, still have 1,200 BC and I feel like a SUCKER every time I look at Depot prices for OLD AF cosmetics that 75% of the playerbase doesn't even wear because the prices are toohigh

I would LOVE to see new players decked out in different cosmetics, so I'm not killing the same old looking toon. But I get, new players arent going to pay high prices for an old game.even I won't

The most expensive thing in Depot cosmetics should be 500 bc. 90% of everything in Depot cosmetics should be no more than 250 bc. Why? Because 90% of the cosmetics are YEARS OLD!

Didn't EA also reduce the content by 75% making a net zero change?
I didn't really follow as I would never buy an EA game. But I do know that BF2 is a full price title and still hastransactions to unlock the whole content. PS2 is at least free and you can play it quite comfortably without a dime spent. I'm really not the biggest fan of DBG in how they handle bugs, player bans, etc but the money thing was never an issue

The money thing is an issue. Because the money thing is in the game of PS2. So all new and old players have the money thing in our face

That could be a good thing or a bad thing. Right now it's bad. Because the overpriced stuff in the Depot collects dust, because the majority of the player base does not buy. You don't buy into an game you have no investment in a game. So its easy to walk away. Hence ourpop

The difference is that planetside is a f2p game and your examples are full price games with additional micro-transactions, don't ever think for a second that they actually care about the consumer. There are some things that I wish were a little cheaper, but given that most of it is from the player studio it may dissuade players from making new cosmetics if it isn't worth it

EA lowers prices by 75% and it's still more expensive than PS2. Trust me dude, EA is like those Korean or Perfect World games where the cash shop is literally pay-to-win and it costs a LOT of money to start to win

**Also, Activision literally has a patent to rig matchmaking to encourage in game microtransactions Here's a few quotes:
"For example, in one implementation, the system may include a microtransaction engine that arranges matches to influence game-related purchases," according to the patent. "For instance, the microtransaction engine may match a more expert/marquee player with a junior player to encourage the junior player to make game-related purchases of items possessed/used by the marquee player. A junior player may wish to emulate the marquee player by obtaining weapons or other items used by the marquee player."
"Doing so may enhance a level of enjoyment by the player for the game-related purchase, which may encourage future purchases," according to the patent. "For example,
**if the player purchased a particular weapon, the microtransaction engine may match the player in a gameplay session in which the particular weapon is highly effective, giving the player an impression that the particular weapon was a good purchase This may encourage the player to make future purchases to achieve similar gameplay results." *which may explain terrible matchmaking in certain games*
And, after this was put into place, "In 2016, Activision Blizzard said it earned $3.6 billion from in-game sales, up from 2015's $1.6 billion."
Google it, seriously, thisisn't made up. Activision got the patent in October 2015

You can find the Annual report of activision blizzard on there site . httpinvestor.activision.com/annual-reports.cfm
And the reports off this year httpinvestor.activision.com/current-reports.cfm
Very interesting comment from a redditor that also quotes the very shady, if not illegal, method that Activision uses. And I can't agree with him more when he questions why gambling is so highly regulated yet those loot systems in video games are not while at the same time, they target a much younger and much more susceptible audience

But then I also don't understand why alcohol is OK and weed is not

The Battlefront system was cash only for stuff like that which is cert only in PS2

Stop the hyperbolic complaining about prices and just be patient there will be huge discounts on everything for black friday and again in December they have a promo with daily sales through the whole month. You just have to bide your time, they have regular sales throughout the year

Be patient?? LOL Pop is plummeting on PS2. The game needs discounting NOW and discounting year-round on all Depot items

Everyone familiar with my username knows all my characters are pimped out. So I already paid the price

I'm speaking for new blood. I once had a kid in outfit chat ask, "you rich?" Nah Im not rich Im. That kid would go to VR to wear the pink camo she wanted, but couldn't afford to buy. Does she play anymore? Nope. When you fail to get a player invested in the game, game pop suffers
