LoC i heard had an advantage, but the ways weren't elaborated

In general, I would say WorldCAT is much larger and includes non-American materials. It's compiling holdings from libraries around the world. But that also means inconsistencies in metadata. So if you are looking to copy-catalog, LoC will be more accurate and provide call numbers. They also have more advanced search options and easy record export
