= PC for audio engineering and music production, ocasional video editing. ~1200e budget =

**What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using
First of all, hello everyone and thank you very much for your help! We need to build a PC for a music/audio studio, and I think some opinions will be of great help. The main programs will be cubase/reaper, but also we want to be able to edit videos ocasionally, using Adobe Premiere and After Effects

However, the main focus will be audio editing and mixing, for which a GPU has no usage (AFAIK), so the GPU is not a top priority

**What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes
1200 euros, but we can go a bit over if it's worth it

**When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy
ASAP
**What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc
Just the parts and a cheap case

**Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location
We are established in Spain. We will most likely be using the more prominent store here, called PCComponentes
**If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated
Just peripherals we have lying around

**Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU
We aren't planning to

**Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc
A big SSD for projects, along with a storage drive, large enough RAM for loading orchestral libraries, and first and foremost, as good a CPU as we can. We also need silent cooling, but we prefer air cooling

**Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components
No preferences, as cheap and practical as possible

**Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference
Nope
**Extra info or particulars
As of now, I have this build in mind (total 1135 euros):

**Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 32GB 2x16GB CL16** **Samsung 980 SSD 1TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2** **Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" 2TB SATA 3** **Tempest PSU 650W Fuente de Alimentación** **MSI GeForce GTX 1650 D6 VENTUS XS OC 4GB GDDR6**
Thank you very much for your help! Cheers

Parts Shortages
Global supply chain issues continue to affect GPU prices, however the pricing increases have worked to stabilize availability which means there are usually options available to purchase now and contributors will add these to their builds. Keep an eye out with marketplace listings from Amazon, Newegg, etc where third party resellers may have a particular card available for sale at a significantly increased cost. Other core components have for the most part recovered from stock shortages, however you may find certain specific models such as a particularely in-demand colour option for a case might be out of stock for extended periods due to supply delays

Hey there! Sorry, but I have to disagree. This is just a new PC for a Studio we're building, but we've been working with audio for the better part of the last 6 years

Nowadays all my peers (and ourselves) find that one of the best investments is a very powerful PC. And the mixing and production of large sessions has always Been a very demanding job

So, for anyone out there wanting to start to work in audio, basic plugins and basic sessions do not need strong requirements, but a powerful PC is a very useful addition in a professional environment, and will make everything run much smoother

As always, if you're making music for yourself in your free time, an old PC is very much fine, but I have to disagree with this statement
