Please try again later Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 28, 2022 This is a Hong Kong film in Cantonese, so turn on closed captioning (cc) for English subtitles. This is an action and mystery film that tests the ultimate commitment of friendship. The story is complicated because it is a mystery film that requires you to figure out who's who, so there are lots of twists and turns. The stunts are well done and the film looks very professionally made as CGI are difficult to distinguish. Unlike the first film, this one is done in more chronological order with less jumps in story telling, so continuity is easier to understand. Subtitles go by quickly so be prepared to do quick rewinds in order to read them thoroughly. The actors are the same as the first movie, but while the first movie is about the undercover police infiltrating the mobs, this movie is about the mobs infiltrating the police force. The police must figure out who the mole is, to prevent the mob from knowing the police department's every move
The story is about a group of well trained undercover members of the mob sent to infiltrate some of the highest ranking members of the HK police force. These mob agents, if you want to call them that, have worked as good guys for years in order to get promoted into the upper echelons of various divisions of the police force and have earned a reputation and respect of other officers. Recently a reporter, after hacking into the mob's database, have realized this situation. She fears for her life because the mob is after her and she has no idea who in the police department to trust that is not a mobster to report this convoluted situation. Now the Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB) must locate these moles within their own ranks in order to clean themselves of mobsters in the police force. This is a difficult task to accomplish as trust is a big problem if you are suspecting your own partner or supervisor can be a mole and might be using you. The mole can also have the complication of either help you after so many years of friendship or betray you because you are not part of the mob. Which side is he to betray and who is really a mole? Does friendship make a difference? The story is about a group of well trained undercover members of the mob sent to infiltrate some of the highest ranking members of the HK police force. Does friendship make a difference? Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 8, 2021 This movie was an unexpected gem, one of the best cop movies I've seen this year. It reminded me a lot of Infernal Affairs (the original 'The Departed' with Leonardo DiCaprio) and John Woo action movies. The ending is very depressing, similar to Infernal Affairs, but up until then it is an excellent movie Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 3, 2021 Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 31, 2022 Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 10, 2021 One person found this helpful Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 15, 2021 Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 28, 2021 Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 24, 2021
