Can i get some help with the following?
On my laptop display (resolution 1920x1080), gaming works fine for me, but since i use an ext. display (resolution 2560x1440, 144Hz) i experience a lot of trouble (latency through low FPS at 60Hz). My Graphics card (NVDIA GeForce MX150) should support higher refresh rate then 60Hz while using HDMI 1.4b output. I realize that lower resolution means lower image quality but higher performance in FPS.
I have a few questions:
\-What ratio do you recommend resolution/FPS wise?
\-Is it possible to use a lower resolution than 2560x1440 on an 2560x1440 display?
\-Can i boost my Refresh rate from 60Hz to 144Hz?
\-How do i connect my ext. display to NVIDIA GeForce MX150 instead of the build-in Intel UHD Graphics 620?
When i connect my laptop to my ext. monitor (not by duplicating but by selecting the option 'only show display on 2'), i can't switch to a higher refresh rate in the system settings than 60,03Hz. Is this because i need to lower my resolution setting?

I don't think HDMI 1.4 supports 1440p at 144hz. Either 60hz or 75hz. I've always used display port cables for my 1440p monitors. HDMI 2.0 will support it I think but you'd need a compatible GPU. You can run games on the 1440p monitor at lower resolution. Might need to set the 1440p monitor to 1080p in Windows settings so the signal being sent to the monitor is 1080p. Alternately as external 1080p 144hz would be supported
