= Best PM tool for IT project management? =

I just started with a bank within the PMO and I work with mostly the IT department. They are managing projects with Excel and OneNote. There is no process in place to approach projects with. I see an opportunity to address this and I’d like to suggest a tool to implement to the entire PMO

What is the most user friendly, robust, efficient tool to track tasks, milestones, and timelines

My previous experience has been using Jira, and MS project, but I hated using project

If you’ve used Jira, and for whatever reason you don’t want to use it, then I recommend you check Monday

At the company I work at, we use Monday for keeping track of ongoing activities, set up notifications when tasks are completed so our team members know when they should start working, create simple and advanced reporting boards for keeping track of the status of each project and facilitate decision making, and to make sure we complete tasks on time

It’s very robust, and they have a lot of templates you can use to work faster

If you are interested, they have a knowledge base with a lot of guides you can use to speed up your work, and share them with your team members. It should be easy to onboard them

And if you have any questions, Monday has a community here on Reddit where you can talk to them or ask other users about their experience

Crazy, right? There was a recent acquisition. 2 banks are merging systems now. Roughly. 5,000 employees. Apparently the bank that was acquired had some processes, but a lot of their PMO left the company. The environment is just very chaotic right now. Ive only been there for two weeks so far
